It’s a GIRL!!!
November 10th, 2011Ducks v Wombats @ The Duck Pond – 9 November 2011
November 9th, 2011Ladies 1st Grade went down 4 – 6 against Woy Woy last night but are still on top of the competition after Round 3. The ladies started off strong but were unable to hold onto the lead generated in the first half. Ladies 2nd Grade went down 5 – 6 in a very close game.
Mens 1st Grade put on their strongest performance to date but were outdone on a number of counter attacks in the 2nd quarter. The Entrance won the last two quarters but were unable to real in the difference gained by the reigning premiers in the 2nd. Great game by Craig ‘Sambo’ Sampson who snarred 4 goals and a strong performance once again by Presti. A welcome back to Joel who reclaimed his spot as 1st Grade goalie after an off season injury and put in a very good performance. Special mention to Tom ‘The Tank’ and Matt ‘GSP’ Reddy who both played despite injuries. TEWP 9 Woy Woy 12 (Goals: Sampson 4, McMahon, Prest, Isaacs, Campbell, Reddy)
2 November Results
November 2nd, 2011A good night for The Entrance at The Duck Pond with most teams enjoying the taste of fresh lobster.
L2: TEWP 6 GOS 4
The Ducks welcomed back Jade Sampson after a couple of years off and she quickly made her presence known by telling her lobster counterpart that scratching was not appreciated. You tell her ‘honey’!
M2: TEWP 6 GOS 6
A great game by the M2s with some strong performances from the youngsters. Keep up the good work and you will see yourself in First Grade in the coming years. A great individual goal by Big Willy Stanton in the dying minutes secured the 6 all draw.
L1: TEWP 7 – GOS 3
The First Grade ladies stepped up to the plate and dominated from start to finish. Solid games to Ash, Nat, and Ruth in goals.
M1: TEWP 5 – GOS 6
Unfortunately a game TEWP should have won convincingly. Although our defence was strong the ball took too long to get up the pool with many counter attack opportunities going begging. Players need to help each other out and work as a team to get the ball in the back of the net. Remember to pass off and drive thus opening opportunities for our outside shooters. Fantastic goal to Tom the Tank from the left edge and some strong defence from all players.
(Goals: Sampson 2, McMahon, Pass, Ervin)

See you in the pool Quackers
